Fleurieu Peninsula is a lovely piece of South Australia, directly south from Adelaide. There’s lots to see and do, and the folk are friendly.
As we toured around, I was much taken with this wee spot at Goolwa. There’s an old slipway here and evidence that those who love old wooden boats tend their craft with skill. It wasn’t a particularly sunny day - August is still winter after all - but the light on the water set up a very pretty scene to paint.

Rowing on Clive River in stunning light. Napier, NZ. This lovely stretch of water has seen the emergence of some of New Zealand's top rowers. The delightful Emma Twigg first put her hands to an oar here.
